The share of the Windows Phone platform nearly doubled in all three countries, with the share in the UK almost tripling. In the UK, Microsoft’s share was 12%, up from 4.5% in the last quater. Over in France, it accoutned for 10.8% of the market, up from 5.6% and in Germany the growth was from 3.8% to 8.8%.
However, in two other European markets, Italy and Spain, Windows Phone did not do as well. In Spain, Microsoft saw their share grow marginally from 2.1% to 2.2%. In Italy, their share actually declined from 10.3% to 9.5%.
