While Grand Theft Auto is already out and surpassing the $1 billion sales mark, the multiplayer component of the game is set to be released on October 1st. However, this hasn’t stopped some information coming to the attention of the internet today. Users on Reddit spotted that when they attempted to connect to the DLC store, the game attempts to access an XML file which has four “cash cards”. The value of these cash cards range from $100,000 to $1.25 million. The prices of these cards have not been revealed or found just yet.
The description within the XML file hints that these cash card microtransactions won’t be making their way into the single player area of the game. The description reads: “Cash is king in this town. Solve your money problems and help get what you want across Los Santos and Blaine County with the purchase of cash packs for Grand Theft Auto Online. All purchased cash is automatically deposited into your character’s bank account. Spend wisely, cash therapy is fleeting.”
